Global home folk high school
Global home high school is an online activity that we came up with during Corona, where online events became a necessity.
The course is like in a physical home folk high school (see elsewhere on the page), but here in a global community, where we explore themes that affect us all, regardless of nationality.
Our global network spans from Mexico to Japan. Almost all participants have in one way or another been in contact with the Danish folk high school, which provides a really good foundation for the open and curious atmosphere.
When the world rumbles and common themes emerge, we call together at Global Home Folk High School in “People First – LifeDialogues” and share our experiences and views with each other. The home folk high school has a set of rules that are strictly adhered to, and which sets the conversation free and makes the atmosphere safe and welcoming.
We live in a time where it is especially important to create images of friends rather than images of enemies; to protect each other’s right to diversity and at the same time articulate the similarities – where we feel the community in first and foremost being human.
