Lars Højland
I am co-founder and chairman of the board of the association Man First – LifeDialogues. In terms of education, I first trained as a teacher at the Free Teachers’ College in Ollerup in 1990, and immediately after that I started studying theology.
Since 1999, I have been a parish priest in Brenderup-Indslev on West Funen, where I live with my wife, Mette Højland. I see myself as a Grundtvigian-oriented priest, but I also find inspiration in other traditions. The important thing is that the words lead to love and a sense of homeliness in life.
In the association Man First – LifeDialogues, I am involved in inspirational evenings, home folk high schools, training of home folk high school hosts and the publishing house Kleofas. I also offer to be a spiritual co-walker, i.e. a conversation partner who seeks to help you in the direction the spirit wants to carry you in particular.
Love is a relational phenomenon, and whoever wants to share in love must love themselves. It has always been that way, but for me, the one I must love is not only myself and my fellow human being, it is also nature and all creation. The inner sustainability of humans is closely linked to the sustainability of the planet; To work for spiritual well-being is also to work for the well-being of the planet.
In the company of other people, I am concerned with the respectful meeting from heart to heart. The greatest thing is when contact occurs and we together make each other wiser about life.
